Staying Safe Around Fireworks

Go to a doctor or hospital immediately if your child is injured by fireworks. If an eye injury occurs, don't touch the eye or flush it out with water, as this may cause more damage. If your child is burned, remove clothing from the burned area and run cool, not cold, water over the burn.

The best thing you can do to protect your child is not to use any fireworks at home. Attend public fireworks displays, and leave the lighting to the professionals.
