Asthma Action Plan
Say: AZ-muh AK-shun plan
Lots of stuff goes more smoothly when you have a plan — and that includes
dealing with asthma. An asthma
action plan is a set of written instructions that can help a person manage breathing
problems. That way, the person doesn't have to go to the doctor or hospital all the
time.
A doctor designs the action plan with the patient. It may include triggers,
problems to watch for, information about medicine, and important phone numbers. The
plan also may tell the person what to do in an emergency.
