¿Me puedo quedar embarazada practicando el sexo anal?
Quedarse embarazada por practicar el sexo anal es muy poco probable, aunque podría ocurrir si el semen del ano entrara en la vagina. Pero una preocupación mayor en relación al sexo anal son las enfermedades de transmisión sexual.
El riesgo de contraer una ETS, como una infección por el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana (VIH) (que puede causar el SIDA), es mayor en el sexo anal que en el vaginal. Esto se debe a que el revestimiento interior del recto (donde se almacena la caca hasta que sale del cuerpo) es muy fino y se puede desgarrar con facilidad. Y esto puede permitir que una infección entre en tu cuerpo.
¿Cómo podemos estar seguros mi pareja sexual y yo?
Si una pareja decide practicar el sexo anal, deberá utilizar un condón cada vez. En el sexo anal, hay menos humedad que en el sexo vaginal, por lo que será más probable que los preservativos se rompan. Utiliza mucho gel lubricante elaborado a base de agua, que puedes adquirir en línea, en farmacias, droguerías, grandes almacenes, o en un centro de salud.
Las ETS también se pueden contraer a través del sexo vaginal u oral, utilizando los dedos o en otro tipo de contacto sexual. La mayoría de las veces las ETS no causan síntomas, por lo que alguien puede tener una ETS sin saberlo y transmitirla. Protégete a ti misma y a tu pareja usando un condón, un preservativo de dedo o un preservativo dental (también llamado "barrera dental", "dique dental" o "barrera bucal") cada vez que mantengas relaciones sexuales. Un segundo tipo de método anticonceptivo, como la píldora anticonceptiva o la inyección anticonceptiva, puede ayudar todavía más a evitar el embarazo.
La única manera de prevenir por completo el embarazo consiste en no mantener relaciones sexuales (abstinencia sexual).
¿Qué más debería saber?
También es una buena idea que te hagas pruebas de ETS, por lo menos, una vez al año y siempre que tengas una nueva pareja sexual.
