Can Breasts Be Injured?

I Play Sports — Could My Breasts Get Injured?

Like any part of the body, you can injure your breasts. Breasts, especially ones that are growing, may be sore anyway, so getting hit in the breast might really hurt. Ouch!

But breast injuries are not too common. Wearing a supportive bra can help. A sports bra is a type of bra worn by active women of any age. Sports bras can prevent breasts from jiggling around when you play sports, exercise, or are very active. Because they're flatter in the cup area, sports bras also make good first bras.

And if you do get injured or have pain in your breasts, be sure to let a parent know.
