Derivación de Blalock-Taussig-Thomas: una derivación de Blalock-Taussig-Thomas (BTT) es un tubo pequeño y blando que permite redirigir la sangre dentro del cuerpo.
Los cardiocirujanos (especialistas en cirugía del corazón) utilizan derivaciones de BTT para conectar la arteria subclavia (una arteria que sale de la aorta y es más pequeña que esta) con la arteria pulmonar. Esto ayuda a aumentar la cantidad de sangre que llega a los pulmones.
