Una contusión o hematoma en el abdomen es una lesión en la piel y el tejido subyacente que afecta al abdomen.

Una contusión, o hematoma, se forma cuando se comprime o aplasta un tejido blando del cuerpo sin que se rompa la piel. Cuando esto ocurre, la sangre procedente de los capilares (pequeños vasos sanguíneos) rotos cerca de la superficie de la piel se puede filtrar bajo la piel. Sin ningún lugar adónde ir, la sangre queda atrapada, soliendo dejar una marca roja o violácea que duele al tocarla.
A medida que un moretón se va curando, puede ir adquiriendo distintos colores, desde el rojo y el violáceo hasta el negro y el azul, volviéndose luego verde, amarillo y marrón claro, antes de desaparecer.
Tenga en cuenta lo siguiente
Aplicar una compresa fría a una contusión reciente puede ayudar a minimizar la hinchazón y el hematoma que se forme. Pida atención médica si una contusión no se cura o resultando dolorosa.
