A-Z: Herida abierta, antebrazo
También recibe el nombre de: corte
Una herida abierta en el antebrazo significa que hay un corte o una rotura de la piel en esa parte del cuerpo. La herida puede ser menor y afectar solo a la superficie de la piel. O puede ser más grave y afectar a tejidos más profundos del antebrazo, como los tendones, los ligamentos, los nervios, los vasos sanguíneos o el hueso.

Trate las heridas leves en casa con primeros auxilios. Busque atención médica inmediata si la herida no deja de sangrar, mide más de una pulgada (2,5 centímetros), parece profunda o permanece abierta. Los médicos pueden intentar cerrar la herida con puntos, esparadrapo o un pegamento adhesivo.
Tenga en cuenta lo siguiente
Las heridas profundas, grandes y sucias necesitan más cuidados. (Una herida "sucia" es un lugar por donde ya han entrado gérmenes). Después de que su hijo reciba atención médica por una herida en el antebrazo, siga atentamente las instrucciones que les haya dado el médico para prevenir posibles infecciones y minimizar las cicatrices.
