And ask if you need to stop or change any prescription or over-the-counter medications, as well as herbal supplements, since some can affect a developing fetus.
Start cutting down on your caffeine intake, and eat a balanced healthy diet. Make sure that your immunizations are up to date, and that you've gotten the flu shot. Also see the dentist to make sure that your teeth and gums are in good condition since recent studies have shown that gum disease during pregnancy can affect your baby.
